In the movie ‘The Pursuit of Happyness’, there is a beautiful conversation between Chris and his son,

“Don’t ever let someone tell you, you can’t do something. Not even me. You got a dream, you got to protect it. People can’t do something themselves, they want to tell you that you can’t do it. You want something, go get it. Period.”

You are what you are and for what you do. Why should any person judge your abilities? It is a grossly mistaken notion of people to judge you and offer you advice on what you can do or cannot do.

Where is the advice coming from? Does it really matter? You do not need anyone to tell you what you are worth. It’s definitely not someone else’s business to tell you. Most of the times, this practically free advice is demeaning to you. Politely reject their advice.

Most times, you unwilfully believe these discouraging words. You begin to doubt yourself. If such people are around you regularly, they make your life toxic. It is better to stay away from such negative influences, for your precious life sake. You are your boss.

Never believe somebody’s opinion about you for a fact. That is their unsupported and baseless opinion. Never let those words affect you in any way. You don’t need to question yourself “Am I good enough”. Always connect to your real self to feel motivated and happy.

You don’t need someone to tell you, what you should be doing. If you seek an advice from a reputable person regarding a serious subject, that’s fine. But nobody has the right to put you down. It is your life and you are the owner of it. You have this one life now, explore and make the best of it.

You are on this planet for a reason and it’s your sole job to discover your passion and fulfill your purpose. Be the Hero/Shero of your adventurous life. Hope, Intentions, and dreams play a key role in the path to your purpose. You do not need to explain your wishes and dreams to anyone.
